A Slovenian-led energy consortium has begun the first phase of a modular microgrid programme in Kenya.
The pilot combines locally operated solar generation, battery storage and remote monitoring. It is expected to validate the commercial and technical model before a wider regional rollout.
Training and long-term maintenance are built into the partnership so that value and specialist knowledge remain in the communities served.
